    Commercial Marketing Executive Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Liverpool, England
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Trinity Mirror (Liverpool, England) in January 2018.

    Interview

There was two stages to this interview process. The first was a video interview, which I was unfamiliar with and found fairly difficult, and the second was a face to face presentation & questions style interview. With the video interview it would ask you a question and you would have either 30 or 60 seconds to answer the question while the computer filmed your response. I found that the best way to prepare for this was by rehearsing answers to generic interview style questions which could quickly be adapted depending on the question asked.

This was the second interview I have had at Trinity Mirror in recent months (both in Liverpool) and I found the whole recruitment process to be a very positive experience both times. The HR department were excellent at communicating and keeping me in the loop, especially as it was quite a long interview process so it would have been easy to have felt forgotten about etc.
I would recommend applying for a role at Trinity Mirror, particularly in Liverpool, and I'm looking forward to starting with the company.
