I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at University of Sunderland (Sunderland, North East England, England, England) in Mar 2021

Interview was online and pleasant. 5 staff members attended. Every member would ask a question, during which the others would turn off their camera. At the end I was given an possibility to ask my own questions.

Experience with online lecturing. Knowledge of helping students with distance to higher education. Current developments in the field.

The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) aims to support schools in providing a sustained response to the coronavirus pandemic and to provide a longer-term contribution to closing the attainment gap. Through the NTP Tuition Partners pillar, state-funded primary and secondary schools in England will be able to access high-quality subsidised tutoring from an approved list of tutoring providers. The focus of NTP Tuition Partners is on supporting disadvantaged pupils, including those eligible for Pupil Premium funding. The University of Sunderland is leading the NTP in the North East in collaboration with regional partners from Durham University, Newcastle University, Northumbria University and Teesside University. We intend to reach 2500 pupils across the region across the course of the academic year 2020-21 and are seeking high quality graduates to train as tutors in the following areas: English (KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4) Mathematics (KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4) Sciences (KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4) Humanities (KS3 and KS4) MfL (KS3 and KS4) Click the link below to find out more 💻
