Utilimaster gives the humble delivery man a hero's ride. The company manufactures walk-in and parcel delivery vans, and truck bodies. Its bodies are assembled onto truck chassis, made by OEMs under fleet contracts for some of the package/snack/uniform delivery industry's kingpins -- FedEx, Frito Lay, Budget, and Cintas. Interior options include cargo load bars, grab handles, seats, and radios. Crosswalk mirrors, lift gates, and mud flaps are some exterior options. Utilimaster teams with hybrid-electric powertrain maker Azure Dynamics to make hybrid trucks for Ford's commercial chassis, as well as for Azure's lineup. Utilimaster owners, a unit of Manulife Financial, sold the company in 2009 to Spartan Motors.
