Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Vizlib (Paddington, England) in Jul 2020
InterviewOnline interview, followed by face to face then final online. The first online was pretty thorough. Then the face to face was very detailed with various senarious and examples of different situation I had been in and outcomes of my actions.
It was a 2-way interview with the company wanting to know what you would offer and your fit and what you wanted from the company, if it was a fit for you.1 Answers
