Company Updates

  • We welcomed Liverpool and Egypt star Mo Salah to our offices - not to teach us a lesson or two about football, but to support our mission to transform learning for the displaced through the power of technology. Mo Salah has become the very first ambassador for Vodafone Foundation #InstantNetworkSchools initiative with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. We equip classrooms with a ‘digital school in box’, providing connectivity, equipment, resources and teacher training tools to support refugees in their engagement of the world today and tomorrow. And now, it’s expanding across Africa to Mo’s home-country, Egypt, as well as Mozambique. 20 new Instant Network Schools will be launched this year, and the overall programme aims to give a quality education to 500,000 refugee and host country students by 2025.
