Audacious, freethinking, ambitious, bold. Just a few of the words used to describe the Waracle team and culture. But above all, we celebrate the unique, embracing autonomy and encouraging personality. Our people are what makes us … well, us. At Waracle, you’ll never stop evolving, learning, creating, moving. So we need to stay sharp, and whether it's getting involved in regular Meetups or our Hackathons, our Friday Missions or BrownBag sessions, we've made it a priority to create an innovative, inspiring learning environment at the heart of everything we do.
Our business cards read, Lead Developer; Marketing Manager, Scrum Master and Digital Transformation Lead, to name but a few but we’re also mothers, husbands, EV enthusiasts, tough-mudders, photographers, cake bakers, singers and arctic hikers (yes, really). People want to be part of what we’ve created because we give everyone the freedom to make an impact, valuing ideas over egos and and embracing what makes each of us unique. We’re not just blowing hot air – our approach to our people is fundamental to the way we work, fanning the fire in our bellies so that we can keep on creating remarkable things. Are you in?

Not much training offered to new employees.
Advice to Management
Invest in training for employees who are keen to develop and grow. Dedicated personal development time would be appreciated, as it is easy to be always absorbed in projects.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Waracle (Dundee, Scotland) in December 2017.
I sent in a CV and met with the hiring manager to have a very informal chat but was made to feel at ease and it was an opportunity for us to both discover more about the company and my skills and experience. I was then invited to an interview where I was asked to present on a scenario and was invited to use the facilities(screen, flipchart etc). Interview questions followed the presentation where I met 3 people that I would be working closely with. I then found out quickly after that I was successful. I really liked that the style of the interviews and it allowed me the opportunity to let the interviewers know all about my relevant experience. I enjoyed a tour of the office beforehand it was great to see the environment I would be potentially working in. I was kept in touch with regularly throughout the process and was impressed at the speed and professionalism of contracts, offer letter and employee handbook being sent to me.
