Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Whisk (United Kingdom) Interviews

Getting an Interview

  1. Senior Product Manager Interview

    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

I applied through other source. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Whisk (United Kingdom) (Manchester, England) in Mar 2022

The interview process was great - Stage 1 chatting to Nick (CEO), Stage 2 a 45 min meeting with Jason (HOP) and stage 3 a task and presentation with the management board. After speaking with Nick on the Monday, the interview process was fast tracked as I had another offer pending and by Thursday PM the same week I had an offer. The task stage was a little intense (2 hours to prep a case study then present back for Q&A in the 3rd hour) but everyone was really friendly and it was a great opportunity to meet lots of people during the process. I've done similar tasks for other companies with multiple days to prepare, but these took up a lot of personal time, so I enjoyed getting in done in a shorter time frame.

Review of my experience so far, why I'm looking to move, what motivates me, some examples of how I've handled situations in the past. The usual PM focus around working in cross functional teams, approaching new Product areas and measuring success.
