    Interview

The division of Willmott Dixon I interviewed for was the interiors division. Which consisted of multiple stages as listed below in other experiences, but when it came to the interview process it was an assessment day at the main office. The day consisted of multiple group activities like erecting a tent, lifeboat guessing games and creating a front cover of a newspaper related to the company. Everything you need is provided throughout the day, all of the staff are very welcoming and very clear on how the day will go, making it a relatively stress-free and very organised environment.

When it came to the interviews it consisted of a panel of three interviewers, the interview itself was quite nice and at no point would it feel like a grilling. So to round things up it was a very pleasant day, which at points didn’t even feel like a job application but more of a training day with colleagues.

Although, after receiving an email to say I hadn’t been accepted, I sent an email asking for feedback on areas where I can improve in the future to which I haven’t had a response unfortunately, but in fairness to them it was just before the pandemic struck so I can understand why I haven’t had feedback, so for that reason I don’t feel disgruntled whatsoever and hopefully there might be a next time...
