In the words of our founder, ‘people don’t join a company. They join a mission’. And ours is big. Current banking systems don’t let us send, spend or receive money across borders easily. Or quickly. Or cheaply. So we’re building a new one. Our mission is to make money without ...

So, you’ve built your product. You’ve launched it in your home market. And now you want to venture into new markets. Before you’re all set there are questions you’ll need to answer. What’s the product-market fit? How do you make sure it’s the right destination? And how to make sure you’re in the clear, legally speaking? On September 29th, at 6pm, we’ll be joined by our friends at Stripe to share our learnings and the best practices we’ve learnt along our own market expansions. We’ll deepdive into how to take your product to new markets and hear from: – Sharon Anne Kean, Head of International Expansions at Wise, about Wise’s expansion to Australia 🇦🇺 – Matt Henderson, EMEA Business Lead, about how Stripe entered the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪

If you make 70k and your wife/husband makes 90k (pre tax), and you split all the bills/expenses evenly, but when it comes to rent/mortgage you want to split it based upon income %, would you do it or do you still keep everything 50/50? If split 50/50 then after all the expenses both people have, the one making 70k only has a few hundred dollars a month for spending money. If split % wise, then both partners have decent amount of spending money. Would like to hear everyone’s opinions, thanks!

Cons

Autonomy comes with responsibilities, you might initially find it hard to see the lines between the ownership of different functions, essentially a side-effect of autonomous teams, but with enough

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wise (Singapore) in May 2021

    Interview

I applied online through LinkedIn, got a response within 3 days that I have moved on to the 2nd round which is a video interview, powered by Hirevue, which includes 5 questions which you have to record your response on video, and 3 email that you have to craft your response to. After that, I got a reply within 2 working days that I made it to the final round, which is a 1 hour interview via zoom with the team lead. The meeting was scheduled for a week later. After the interview, I was told that I would get a reply within a week, be it whether I got the job or not. In the end, I got a response in about 24 hours, with an offer letter.
    Interview

These are the 5 questions for the interview powered by Hirevue - Tell me about a time where you've gone above and beyond what's expected of you? What was the situation? What actions did you take and why? - I'd like to know about a time that you made a mistake. What happened? Why? And how did you fix things? - Tell me about a time where you received negative feedback. What happened? How did it make you feel? What did you learn from the situation? -Is there anything else that you'd like to tell us about yourself or anything that you may have missed in your previous answers? - Describe a situation where you've decided to step in and help where it wasn't your responsibility to do so. In the final interview, be ready to face questions that require some thinking on your feet. - what makes you the best fit for the role? - tell me a time you had to deliver a difficult feedback. - tell me to you, what makes an excellent customer service?
