    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Xaxis (London, England) in September 2018.

    Interview

One session with an hour long interview, followed by another session two weeks later with two 40~ minute interviews, a 30 min presentation and a 20 minute test. The second session was somewhat gruelling by the end (no breaks), but fine. The analytics manager at the company is pleasant and easy to talk to, puts you at ease. The issue I had was that the company never made an effort to get back to me which is a little bizarre, and I have been unable to contact them to find out what has happened (a month later).

    Interview Questions

    • (First session) What modules did you take at university that have helped you in data analytics? If you were the director of the NHS, how many beds would you want free across the UK at any given time for pregnant women?   Answer Question
    • (Second session) If a company showed up with this data set (sales, money spent on a variety of advertising), what useful information could you give to them and how would you attain it?   Answer Question
