I have been working at loveholidays full-time (More than 3 years)

Loveholidays has been exactly what I was after when looking for my next challenge. And with plans to ‘migrate to cloud’ it certainly delivered on the technical challenges, - rethinking the legacy ways of CI/CD and embracing the Google Cloud, containerisation natively. It’s an Infrastructure-As-Code philosophy with GitOps in the real sense of the word. The not-so-startup is home to a lot of smart and passionate people, keen on delivering value, and keeping waste low. It’s a dynamic place to work in, with product releases shipped on daily basis, to continuously evolve. Talking of IT, DevOps is not a title for a single person but you can appreciate and see that it’s a group approach, a team effort. It is then comes as no surprise that Loveholidays taken the #1 spot for the fastest-growing profits over their latest three years, doubling sales YoY. With on-going expansion and yet more plans in the pipeline, I really look forward to the new highs, such rapid growth will take Loveholidays next. Wish the team all the best success for the future.

    could be a busy place.

    Software Engineer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in London, England
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at loveholidays (London, England) in March 2017.

The whole process was pretty fast, first a quick phone interview, then an exercise and then a face to face. Until the face to face everything was ok. I flew to London and the interview lasted several hours, I was asked things related to the position and to my cv, and then I was asked a certain amount of questions that had nothing to do with my role. Overall I talked with at least 4 or 5 different persons (for a normal dev interview, not for a CEO role). Then I had a chat with the cto who started asking me tricky questions and mind tricks. Overall? Almost a nightmare, I couldn't wait for everything to be over and I am glad I did not get an offer.
