I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get to be at the gym and surround yourself with a lot of people who enjoy fitness. Great job experience, not as much pay as a crunch, equinox or private gym but currently revamping pay structure so remains to be seen.

    Cons

Due to the minimum wage nature of many of the employees there are a lot of unmotivated coworkers there and it can be infectious. As long as I remember why I'm there though, I can carry on and stay productive.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free gym membership! Work based rewards. Great co-workers and supportive community.

    Cons

Not all managers are supportive or actually good at managing. Pushing with determination does not produce results, if you are also alienating and not supportive. Local gyms were bad at the back end of business and were sold out to another fitness company.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

great members, great relationships with fellow instructors, updated facilities, fun and energizing atmosphere, online sub board, free gym membership for self and spouse

    Cons

Had only one 50 cent raise during 14 years of working there. They used to watch your kids for free when you worked out (on your own time), but a few years ago they dropped that benefit. They also stopped paying employee fees for choreographed fitness content a few years ago. Many benefits have gone away over time years prior. Was laid off during COVID via a pre-recorded group conference call.
