      Worst management I’ve ever encountered.

      Pros

      Nothing really positive to say. Hospital itself was cosy I guess. Pleasant to walk around sometimes

      Cons

      Management are absolutely obese, slobbish, pig ignorant and selfish. It’s not an exaggeration to say that the facilities management office has a seemingly never ending supply of cake and biscuits. They are all like jabba the hut. They expect you to work your backside off, while they sit idle all day stuffing their faces. During my interview a piece of cheese slide out from one of the women’s mask. Should’ve been a warning sign.

      Pros

      Company knows why it exists (to support East Kent Hospitals), is focused on customer service and patient care, focusing on service excellence and value for money (as a subsidiary of a NHS Trust). Vast majority of staff are emotionally invested in their work, and a lot have many years NHS/ healthcare experience - you can learn a lot very quickly, and there are opportunities to progress. Workforce is relatively stable, job security is good.

      Cons

      Front line roles and site support services require on-site working (due to the nature of providing in-person services). Working in healthcare often requires emotional resilience and a laser focus on service delivery. Many roles are physically demanding (on feet all day). 2gether contracts of employment are not NHS Agenda For Change contracts (e.g. no NHS pension).
