Pros

- Friendly and supportive colleagues across departments - Opportunities to learn and participate in various projects - Flexible work hours - Work from home - $10 team bonding budget/month

Cons

- No transparency in hiring process. Possible to get in through connections even if they performed badly in interviews and even if there were better candidates, as long as management likes them. - People brought in through connections are protected while those not on the same side are brought down. Preaches 6 values within the company, but this is what I really learnt: - Team first: Doubt your team first if something goes wrong. Think about how to push the blame first. Cover up and hide mistakes from others first. Protect people you like in the team first. Wants team to speak up before management first and acting like a hero in front of everyone after. - Kaizen: Improve on how to hide things/leave team members out every day. - Relentless: Staying strong after getting brushed off. Keeping calm when getting thrown to work on illogical and unnecessary tasks. - Resourceful: Yeah trusted to be so resourceful that we don’t even get resources we asked for. - Keep it real: So are those 5 star Glassdoor reviews real? - Own it: Taking ownership for achievements and tangible things that can be seen by others. p.s. If you are you going to continue faking reviews, at least try to put more effort into it.

A directionless company that leaves you feeling unsettled and insecure

Pros

A company that can achieve so much more with the right focus and right management team.

Cons

High turnover. Few can stay beyond a year. Gaslighting is very prevalent in the company. The mgt makes you feel small and that your efforts are never good enough. Blame culture is strong hence creating a very toxic environment. They did a few rounds of retrenchment since Dec 2022 and the entire company's morale has been very low. Some people are asked to leave within a day's notice hence creating a very unsettling feeling amongst everyone as they wonder if they will be next in the list. Favouritism is very obvious, if you are in the inner circle, as long as you know how to talk, you are safe. When asked during townhall about these sneaky act of why people are let go without notice or reasons, the mgt got evasive and said they didn't do so. Very immature leadership way of handling such sensitive topics. It's amazing how they can let go of the whole marketing team recently, yes, the WHOLE team. Join only if you feel the adventurous and want to have a roller coaster ride in your career.

Pros

1. Full of supportive, helpful and positive people. You will almost always get help when you ask for it. They have built a very strong culture in terms of a positive work environment. 2. Hustle and loyalty are greatly rewarded. 3. Good work-life balance

Cons

4. For better or for worse, hustle and loyalty gives you greater rewards than talent and impact in this company. If you are ambitious and smart you will be frustrated endlessly because visible and hardworking people ascend fast and occupy key positions in the company without strategic acumen and experience, which is why turnover rate for the top 10% of talent in the company is extremely high. It is also reflective in the strategy of the company as the company often hustles hard in the wrong direction. I often found myself being put into crunch for projects that have negligible impact 80% of the time. 5. Very strong and ingrained in-group culture despite advertising itself as an open start-up. A lot of gossiping and rumor-mongering that is mediated VERY poorly by management as they are often not objective and usually only trust their in-group. If you are not lucky enough to be placed under one of the few experienced mentors in the company and if you are not "in the key group", your career progression is likely to be dead in the water or you have to face an uphill climb to prove yourself. A political culture even though it doesn't appear to be so. 6. In my opinion, a pretty strategically bankrupt company that relies heavily on funding and acquisitions to survive rather than good business fundamentals and true innovation.
