I worked at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Wages are very competitive for this area.

    Cons

Turn over rate is so high that is causes double, triple your work. Team work is non-existent. Due to having different Service centers no one is on the same page. It def. Falls under call center environment, even the Dispatch department. Dispatch should not run on the same terms/quota of a call center. Great Benefits and You will be sure to work 110% for then. AAA values as a company are held to a high standard but when...

I worked at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good pay, focus on member care, great services for the membership, good training and potential career progression.

    Cons

Ideas of AAA's original culture are discouraged. The idea of members as individuals is nearly gone. For a "not for profit" entity, it's run with very little value placed on long time membership other than a card that recognizes years of membership. For anyone who has spent 15+ years of the company, sees a significant culture difference in company culture and employee value.

    Advice to Management

No suggestions...the original culture is so far gone, the current leadership has no connection with the original companies purpose and focus. Just add AAA NCNU to the list of american companies that care little for it's employees and customers

I worked at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Office location and amenities are good.

    Cons

The leadership team has too much ego. Good employees are pushed out because their perception of innovation is constant change. New managers are encouraged to show "managerial courage," by choosing one of their team members and then riding them until they break. That position is backfilled and the department then zeroes in on its next victim.

I worked at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Decent pay. Average benefits. Employee discounts.

    Cons

They are constantly opening and shutting down offices, which puts most of their employees out of a job. They will shut down an entire office in one state, build a new one in another state, close the new one down after 3 to 5 years and then open up another new on in the same state that they closed the original in. Typically, only the highest in the food chain are offered positions at other offices. Great severance packages...

    Advice to Management

The office level management teams were always wonderful. It's the CEO's and Board members across the entire AAA brand that need to repair the disconnect before it's too late and the rest of the world discovers that you're not a giant big brother who always has your back.
