    ADP

Hello everyone. I never thought about making a career out of hr but its definitely something that I want to do now. Eventually, my goal is to become an HRIS analyst. At ADP i worked as a technical support analyst and helped clients with anything from troubleshooting system issues to reporting to processing payroll and much more. I've applied to over 100 positions and havent even advanced to a single interview. It has been rejection after rejection. Any suggestions on which positions to focus on?

      Pros

Good team spirit and opportunity to meet new people and make a lot of personal and professional connections Good entry level experience to payroll and client management Academy process helps introduce service oriented people to payroll and ADP as a wider company UK Managing Director very upbeat and keen to bring in workplace improvements, also pay day perks/ fun at work initiatives have improved over last 2 years

      Cons

Academy process too long and doesnt focus enough on payroll processing or system scenario training Most of the Service Team Managers are too heads down worry about the client then hit the door at 5:30pm, too worried about clients complaining than actually listening and supporting PSs to deliver role, PS only really involved in descisions when something goes wrong or STM doesn’t understand the system or payroll (which is usual), PSs often left working long hours while STM does 9-5:30pm Inflexible with permanent working hours unwilling to compromise unless you have childcare agreements, flexible working request policy is only in place due to statutory requirements, but very rarely listened to, salary wouldn’t have convinced me to stay another year however working hours would have, and again “the client” was the cause of this. Due to these conditions PSs are increasingly unhappy and little chances to progress unless you move to implementation or sales, this means there is a high turn over of associates to which ADPs answer is churn out another academy on basic starting salary.
