    Pros

    Create your own schedule. Good commission rates. Good health insurance rates.

    Cons

    Local branch management is very out of touch. Appointments flow is very poor and many appointments are a waste of time. Call center makes appointments on wrong day and / or with clients who don't even want appointments. Since it is commission only this is a huge source of frustration. Appointments are made for sales with little to no commission potential then large scale jobs are sold by phone which supposedly isn't...

    Advice to Management

    Give the appointments to sales professionals instead of being sold over the phone if you want to keep good commission only sales people. PLEASE train NSC better. Appointments can be a real mess frequently.

    Great brand name. Industry leader

    Cons

    Hard to work for a manager/management that continues to demoralize and demean sales team What I've seen and lived through over the last 2-3 years I can't honestly with good faith refer anyone to work at ADT Manager style makes most of the sales team want to transfer or even quit. 5 people on sales team quit with the last 6 months.

    Advice to Management

    How can we sell when ADT's Authorized dealer undercut our price and steal accounts.. how can we sell when there is a culture of demoralizing the sales team . It has gotten so difficult to work here. Many changes need to come Give some freedom back to the sales reps.

    Pros

    Great boss, benefits were pretty good with matching 401k, and good autonomy to make my own day. Few meetings vs the other teams, ability to sell all products residential and commercial.

    Cons

    They now credit check. Company is working towards 100% company leads going to authorized dealers and making corporate employees find their own business. Not much management support. Constant turn over with installers. They don't provide the service level being pitched to clients. Spend half the day begging the company to fix your deals. More expensive than the competition even for lower level systems. Gold team charges...

    I have been working at ADT Security Services full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    The hours working here are not bad, 30-40 hour weeks. Company generated appointments have slowed from 20 a month to about 5. Lot of freedom if hitting numbers.

    Cons

    Required to bring in 6 self generated sales, which are hard for most. Lot of micromanaging if under production (80% of company is), no company loyalty. Constant policy changes. High turn overs. Very rare for internal employee promotion

    Advice to Management

    Work on employee loyalty and treatment vs replacing senior people with new ones constantly until everyone is new. Internal promotion would be nice

    I really can't write anything positive about this company. I would recommend reading my review and take it to heart. I tried to keep opinions out and facts in.

    Cons

    You are a commissioned only employee treated like a salaried employee. If you are commission only, trust me, you will do everything you can to earn your paycheck, however you will be tasked with excessive reports, conference calls, weekly meetings, call nights, micromanaged, and as a result, your selling time is diminished. There is only enough time in the day to do everything they ask of you if you don't want to sleep...

    No base salary. Learned shortly after becoming employed that some salespeople would be brought on with a base. Descending training bonus that is entirely too low and descends rapidly, doesn't match the time it actually takes for a salesperson to get up and running.     I have been working at ADT Security Services full-time

    Pros

    Visit custom home market most of the time. Pay on performance is the concept. Company leads provided but not as many as they promise.

    Cons

    Most of appointments are not custom, and some of the appointments do not know you were scheduled to visit the home. No support from management. Commission statements are very confusing and some sales you have to do additional paperwork and emails to get paid. Installers can change your design and decrease your commission and raise installers commission. Yes that right installers have business cards and sell.

    Advice to Management

    Let sales people sell and let installers install. Hold others at the company to the same standard you hold sales reps. Don't make sales reps do job of company to figure out what they should be payed on a job and then make them do the admin paperwork to process job.

    I have been working at ADT Security Services full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    After 8 years doing outside sales for the residential market, I've seen a lot. The management team is very alert to what is going on, they coach, provide literature, and materials needed. Auto allowance is provided, medical as well as a 401k. $7500 for schooling a year

    Cons

    Promoting employees from within seldom happens. They look for outside people to bring in to "shake things up." Constant pressure to make increased numbers on sales. $70 pay a day for vacation time. Company values the top 5% of sales people, but rest are replaceable and its made clear. Promises new employees 50k min starting, but its hard to make especially new to this industry

    Listen to employees, promote from within, offer better benefits. Focus on customer care and service more than just new sales
