Pros
Fast growing company with high growth in emerging markets. High on values and a very collaborative culture. Lots of opportunities to work in cross-functional roles.
Cons
Stringent Quality Assurance measures could sometimes delay processes, which could be painful However, it is a must to follow these as the company has to maintain its global reputation.

Pros
People are extremely friendly and supportive. The benefits are good compared to some other companies.
Cons
Work life balance is difficult at times, the organisation is very lean. There is a continued focus on things that aren’t going well, which can lead mean there is a tendency to switch between projects quickly.
Advice to Management
Create the tactics and actions before the strategy is released and activated to provide structure and guidance. Actively develop strategy for a longer term view rather than year by year.

Pros
Good people within the plant at all levels for the most part. There are a lot of oppertunities for those sufficiently motivated to move between roles in the plant and develop very useful skills for professional development. It is a good starting point for those who may be interested in moving to other areas of the organisation.
Cons
Production pressure is high at the plant at which I am based and over the last number of years this has had implications in terms of work load on other departments. As the site is older than many there are a number of legacy systems that need to be updated. This slows down capability to complete tasks.
Advice to Management
When investing in new systems ensure vendor does a prper systems analysis and design (URS) stage to ensure we are not left with further clunky systems that result in huge costs over the long term.

Pros
The company offers a decent benefits package with good bonuses. Lots of travel if you have the right job. Great brands and interesting categories to operate in.
Cons
If you don't like travel, some rolls have high expectation of travel. Slightly old fashioned in it's approach both from a marketing point of view and leadership style. i.e. the more senior you are, the more right you are.
Advice to Management
It's worth listening to the people that work with you. You don't have to know everything and sometimes your people might be best placed to make the decision.

Pros
Still has a great retirement package if they allow you stay (401K & Pension) College Tuition;
Cons
Annual raise is based on events out of control and if you're a worker, you're screwed; manager's aren't affected. Because of layoffs and unrealistic goals creating hiring freezes; expect to stay at whatever position you're in until you're let go or find another job elsewhere. Certainly not the company they used to be. Profits are great but doesn't show in non-managers salary raises. True practitioners of the... "trickle-down" theory when it comes to raises.

Pros
Good income is the only thing yo work here.
Cons
Unclear scope of work, no commitment. People tend to do politics all the time, and do not focus much on business. Unclear strategies.
Advice to Management
People in high hierarchies (assco. Director level up) only try to show off and do politics to keep their positions.

Pros
The charitable events and initiatives they support albeit under the guise of caring.
Cons
Company and senior leadership values of harassment, manipulation, “unconscious” bias, ruling by fear and intimidation as well as sabotage.
Advice to Management
No advice - Abbott Nutrition is a lost cause due to a systemic problem.
