Easy teaching, not motivating

Pros

It was easy to get started and the pay was pretty good for online classes.

Cons

I found the lecture style lessons extremely boring since interaction with the students was minimal. I felt like students were often a bit confused about how the courses worked.

Pros

1. You have the mornings to yourself and work from about 2 pm to 11 pm, depending on your arrangement. 2. You get about 2% commission off your collection amount 3. You get to interact with different culture 4. no background check done

Cons

You are monitored throughout your work hours (micro-managing) via Hubstaff They can lay you off at any point in time without giving you a reason compared to the amout of work put in, the money should be more

Pros

The ability to work from home was nice. My schedule was flexible, which allowed me to achieve a work-life balance. My team was generally very pleasurable to work with.

Cons

I really did not appreciate the micromanagement. During my employment, we downloaded software that tracked your mouse and keyboard movements. We were told to keep this number above 50%. That's great unless you are doing any work (meeting, reading) that would lower this score. My scores and updates were audited weekly, which felt very draining. I would have much preferred receiving a set number of hours each week without this software. Ultimately, there was a lack of stable hours. Although I understand that outsourcing is common practice, I felt underappreciated when watching more and more positions being outsourced. In fact, each month we needed to report if we thought any of our tasks could be outsourced. The company response to this would probably be "we just want to make sure your skills are being put to use" but these tasks were NEVER replaced with other work. Not sure if this was a management or company-wide issue, but the stress became overwhelming and I swiftly left.
