Pros

Some fun people to talk to of which we shared a common dislike of management / the situation we were in

Cons

Only hired meaningless exec roles and continued to ignore the foundation of their business. The support desk. I believe this is also now reflected in their stock price on the LSE as AdEPT took over from what was previously the "OurIT Department" company Terrible salaries, understaffed, under appreciated, bad customer expectation management No progression Only saving grace was the people there and that I could learn and ask for help quite easily

Pros

Everyone is friendly and happy to answer your questions and doubts. My Team members are very eager to share their knowledge with everyone and nobody judges if there is something you don't know. The only positive thing I can say about working here is the attitude of my colleagues.

Cons

AdEPTis introduced as an ever growing company where you can be trained, learn the ropes and go wherever you can, the sky's the limit kind of concept. Once you start at the bottom there is the classic glass ceiling situation where you find yourself stuck with little to no opportunities to advance, unless you are happy to be stuck in the same position for YEARS. Currently we are just learning about products instead of learning skills. We are not given any training and we are just expected to find information by begging more senior coworkers or self funding our knowledge and learning in our free time. If you do choose to self fund your learning, chances are you may not be given the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice as there's not enough people to cover for you to be absent and practice your new skills. I started this job with a lot of hopes for learning and growing as an individual. Now I find myself dreading to log in every morning to work as I feel absolutely stuck with no prospects of learning, progressing or getting paid the amount that reflects the work we do, even though we are expected to work to the bone when it's a busy period for AdEPT. We are not only paid the bare minimum, we are also dictated when we can and cannot do extra hours to avoid the company more expenses. As if we choose to work overtime just to gain some extra pay at the end of the month, there are not enough work hours in the day to fulfil what is required in the role on a day to day basis. I often find myself in the predicament where I either work overtime and not record it as I am not allowed to do overtime or log off and start my next day with an insane workload which will push me further behind and build more stress. Overall this job lures you in with a false pretense, then applies overachieving absurd standards that are meant to be reached within a daily time frame that does not make it possible.
