    Pros

I feel valued by those around and above me
I am stimulated and provided training on the product
    Clear career development paths

    Cons

Some processes are a little convoluted (sales cycle, HR, etc.), most likely due to the fact Aerohive are a growing company.

    Advice to Management

Keep on doing what you're doing

I worked at Aerohive Networks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ok company, could do with less behind your back politics

    Cons

You get worked to the bone yet nothing is ever good enough

    Advice to Management

To appreciate what your direct reports do, especially when they cover your back.

    Pros

    Good environment to work in
    Flexible working
Good team of people all trying to work to the same goals
Hivemanager 6 is a great product with many features

    Cons

Hivemanager NG has failed. Cloud has limited features and On-Premise doesn't work
Create great products but never fully finish (Like Client Management)
Roadmap is rarely delivered on (at least 1 year behind competitors)
Playing catchup with competitors on features and innovations

    Advice to Management

Ability to execute has halted company growth.
Commuinication in the company is so poor
NG has failed and needs to be relaunched
Engineering seem to run the company not product management lead by sales/the field engineers

I worked at Aerohive Networks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Started as a great innovator in the WiFi space.
Simple cloud strategy that should deliver a great future.
    Fun place to work

    Cons

Starting to focus too much on copying the competition rather than creating new ideas
Too centralised and sales focused, no career options for technical staff outside the HQ

    Advice to Management

Spread you net for technical excellence wider than 20 miles from Sunnyvale

I have been working at Aerohive Networks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The international office in the UK is amazing. People from abroad in the whole office, great training which makes you forget that you didn't know a single thing about WiFI less then a year ago.

    Cons

There are still a lot of people who have know idea who Aerohive is and what we are doing, this makes it harder then for example one of our known competitors, people don't like the unknown, they don't want to be the "first one" to buy from a "new vendor"

    Advice to Management

Keep growing, specially in the international office, make teams bigger per territory and let's make sure that everyone will know who we are asap!

"Dead end jobs with bad comp and no career growth"

I have been working at Aerohive Networks full-time

    Pros

Reading fake reviews planted by HR on glassdoor is good for a laugh. (Why not fix the culture instead of shilling here?)

    Cons

Aerohive pays below market, and then makes up low salaries by giving share options. With stock in the tank (and having been reverse split), package is not competitive. Many people are leaving, and much of the top talent is interviewing. Small pay goes along with dead end jobs. Aerohive is a good place for young staff to get promoted, but I can only think of one person who has contributed enough to be promoted to a management job. In other words, management says all the right things, but when push comes to shove, they don't believe many current employees have contributed much to their success so far because none of them have earned a promotion.

    Advice to Management

Adjust compensations to market. If you can't make the stock go up, increase pay to market rates. Be honest about what turnover means, especially in departments where it is high.

I have been working at Aerohive Networks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people, great technology, great spirit! It's a fun place to work and everyone is invested in making Aerohive great.

    Cons

Aside from amazing innovation and products, company is still struggling to execute against projections resulting in low stock price. With new organizational changes in leadership, I am confident we will get there!

    Advice to Management

Set realistic expectations and continue to hold the teams accountable.

    Pros

    No micromanagement (refer to cons)
    Location
    Decent pay
    Own your business

    Cons

I’ve been here for years and have witnessed all the good people leave
Majority of management should not be in a management role
    Lack of communication
Sales rarely hit their numbers resulting in insanely low stocks (Roughly half of IPO)
Saturated market and Aerohive can’t run with the “big dogs”
In all of my career I’ve never witnessed such a disorganized and dysfunctional company
    Highly political
    Lack of culture and diversity
Pretty much the entire workforce is miserable
WFH is highly dependent on your department (if you’re in finance, forget about it)
Half empty building as Aerohive fails to backfill which leads to additional duties falling on your desk every week
Company morale is extremely low due to massive turnaround

Aerohive is not a terrible place to work, however, if you have a choice..... Do yourself a favor and take another offer

Also, any 5 star reviews (especially the one written recently) HAS TO BE from recruiting there is not a sane person alive that would give Aerohive 5 stars.

    Advice to Management

Build an identity that makes people want to work here

    Pros

Decent product. Pre Sales engineers were great. Only a few good ones left :(

    Cons

Management is outright clueless on what is going on at the field level and what needs to be addressed.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes to what is actually happening.

I have been working at Aerohive Networks full-time

    Pros

    Flexible work environment

    Few friendly team members

    Cons

No Innovation and no new ideas

Stock price is less than half the IPO price

    No 401K match

    Work is not very challenging

Engineering team is a joke with incompetent management. Code check-ins are bizarre with no accountability and approval.

Sales doesn't meet targets from time to time

    Not hiring qualified people

Product management is the worst org. Have not seen this in any mid size SaaS company

    Very bad compensation structure

    Uncertain future

    Advice to Management

Please stop giving excuses and step up your game. Friendly management does not mean a management that executes.
