I have been working at Aflac for less than a year

    Pros

They do provide a little bit of training.

    Cons

When you first go and interview, they make it seem like you are able to just walk into any business and get them to sign up. But they really don't care about that all they want is for you to get your friends and family to be references into businesses. Also this is just one giant MLM the only people in the company that make any money are the districts or the regional managers. Save yourself the time and energy and do not apply.

I worked at Aflac for less than a year

    Pros

This company is ethical and their product is great. It's easy to believe in it and really support what they're doing when you are selling.

    Cons

They throw as many new agents into the field as possible, knowing that 9 out of 10 will fail. If those 9 manage to open any accounts, which is very difficult and takes a lot of door-to-door cold calling, then when they leave the account stays with the manager. So managers make tons of money with little work.

    Pros

Independent sales agent. Make own hours.

    Cons

The managers are all burned out by this industry. No support. Hamster wheel. Same thing over and over for straight commission pay. You put more money and time into it can ever give back. Supplemental insurance companies are slaves to Medical Brokers. They get half our straight commission pay on top of all of their Medical . Brokers had their pay cut from aca so this is now their game to change carriers every other year so we never have a chance have renewals really anymore.
