Pros
The friendliest and most professional group of people I've ever worked for, it's more like visiting a second family than going to work. I recently had a major operation which meant I had to take 12 weeks off and they made sure that I had no worries and lost no pay.
Cons
Too much cake in the office.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Alan Boswell Group
Pros
Alan Boswell Group is an excellent company to work with and for - I have been here nearly 8 years and in this time they have helped me through some difficult issues being very accommodating and understanding. My husband broke his back and Alan Boswell allowed me to work extra hours over my contracted part time hours ( after having a baby) which then helped make up the money we were losing through my husband being out of action. The Alan Boswell Group take on apprentices with job offers at the end and offer CII training, not to mention the enormous amount of money raised each year for charities and we all get involved. You will be rewarded for your hard work with pay rises and a bonus EVERY year, if you are willing to work, you will be noticed. I have read some recent reviews on here and it's certainly not true about a high staff turn over - ABG will try all they can to help people fit in and learn but sometimes some people are just not right for the job and that's the same in every company. I for one love my job and the people I work with and I travel 2 hours every day to work there. I wonder how many people can say they love their job ?
Cons
Being a skinny blonde ( now brown ) vegan does not get you anywhere at the Alan Boswell Group - hard work does !

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Alan Boswell Group full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
Good remuneration package and staff benefits including an annual group bonus. Fairly relaxed atmosphere compared to other similar organisations I've worked for. Financially supports professional qualifications, plenty of training, operates a quality first programme, has Investors In People and Chartered status. The free Christmas Party is always a good event.
Cons
No real cons as long as you apply yourself but underperformance is addressed with further training and support in the first instance.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Alan Boswell Group full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
The company has an excellent track record of looking after their staff. good remuneration package along with 25 days holiday, nice working environment and a visible management team. Annual appraisals, quarterly one-to-ones. The Christmas party is completely paid for - including all drinks! And we've had a bonus every year I've been here. Priority is on the customer and that shows.
Cons
You have to buy your own tea bags and milk which is a bit daft - but I guess people just steal them if they were supplied.
