Pros
I worked in the space industry for almost ten years at various large corporations, and switching to a startup changed my life. Before, I felt limited and bogged down by really strict processes and politics, but now, I get to dive into our supply chain and present creative and unique solutions. I get to support a one-of-a-kind mission with a passionate small team. The camaraderie, unique problem solving, and ownership that my role allows keeps me excited about each day. I love being virtual with options to have a company-paid WeWork subscription if I want to get out of the house. Lots of team building events and travel! Flexible hours and an extremely supportive staff that prioritized mental health and family.
Cons
We are so streamlined and fast that the learning curve can appear steep, but there's so much support to get new employees integrated and comfortable. The applications we use to communicate can be overwhelming at first, but you get used to it!
