    Pros

If you want and work for it then you can have a voice, your opinion matters. The job is fast paced and changing, you get the opportunity to work with lots of customers in varied different environments.

    Cons

It's hard to put any cons at the moment, we have moved to a flat management structure which means some teams could feel like progress might be harder, this is not well defined yet however so its more of a wait and see than con.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to the people on the ground and keep putting the customer first.

    Pros

They don’t force you to put on Elvis Presley outfit as a uniform. I can’t guarantee it will not change in future.

Used to be a great company overall long time ago, but now not a single one left.

You can’t find a better place if no one else hires you.

You can work from home. Especially after your normal working hours in the office.

    Cons

All engineers who made this company a strong player have already left for greener pastures.
Acquiring a few companies made a bunch of mediocre guys onboarded.
All the new hires are either weak as professionals or associate level at best.

Amount of internal politics on middle-managers level has hit all the common-sense limits.
Managers eliminate issues rather than address them.

New higher management has no notion of the business, changing t-shirts and laptop stickers design is the most they could offer.
The only thing i will trust they are experienced in for sure is BS twaddle.

Pay increases are frozen already for a long time, pay levels (in our office) are heavily behind the market.

HR is a joke and commits little to zero benefit.

Higher management seems to mislead investors about things going on in the company and apparently things will end up selling the company at a bargain price.

    Advice to Management

No point - they are not accountable hence listen to no one, the only advice i can give - stop putting fake positive reviews on glasssdor - you’re trying to make a fools out of people but making fools out of yourself instead.

I have been working at Alert Logic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Alert Logic has gone through a lot of change in the last 12 months, including a new CEO and new executive leadership team who are breaking down the silos and stamping out the bad culture (old boy network). Culture is significantly better and renewed company values that everyone is expected to embrace are being demonstrated throughout the company. Team work, diversity and more employee empowerment are making Alert Logic fun to work in again.

    Cons

The changes are positive, but the impact is not overnight. anyone new to the team will be working alongside people on their own personal journey that may have been disillusioned by the old Alert Logic way.

    Advice to Management

We've all bought into the vision of the new Alert Logic and seeing it demonstrated daily - keep over-communicating in this transition and everyone will rally behind it.

    Pros

    Access to training material
    Friendly colleagues

    Cons

    Pay increases have been stopped.
People are laid off at an unusually high rate for a company of this size. Managers eliminate issues rather than address them.
The work is unrewarding. If you like brainless tasks that take no effort this may be your dream workplace.
Pay is not anywhere near competitive in the market.
Things run much smoother without management. I feel they only cause disruption to ensure that they look valuable. It would be interesting to judge them by performance metrics the same as analysts.

    Advice to Management

If you want staff to go above and beyond for you, go above and beyond for them. Give them competitive salaries and something to aim for in terms of career opportunities.

    Pros

A few smart people, but you have to wade through a very poor management culture to find them. Most have already left.

    Cons

The Belfast office was on the brink of closure, its has failed several times and required intervention of Snr management. There is no intellectual challenge and an immature HR dept that has overseen an attrition rate even McDonalds would be ashamed to have. For all the claims to be 'data driven' the most talented simply left for something more professional after the company was compromised by opportunists who almost sank it; even with all the warning signs HR, Snr management seemed incapable of seeing through the dementia inducing military laded cyber spiel for far too long. Former VP of Security soon jumped ship, with such a high rate of turnover the Belfast Research and Intelligence operation is unfortunately known for its woeful management. What benefit Belfast has to Alert Logic and its clients is open for debate, not even detecting legacy WP TimThumb exposed on the corp. site should say enough really.

    Advice to Management

Holding on the back of the Titanic of the IT Security even after its hit the iceberg is never a good idea, unfortunately Alert Logic Belfast is now by-word for ineptitude.

    Pros

Right now, I can't think of any.

    Cons

Senior Management need a wake up call. Customer support is falling apart, losing people from left, right and center. There is no consideration for employees that are highly skilled, they are just obsessed with cutting corners and making the organisation profitable, losing focus of the actual goal of supporting customers. There is a clear dislike for UK colleagues and that is felt by all.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and realise that you have some amazing skills to utilize. You should care when someone is looking for employment elsewhere.

I have been working at Alert Logic full-time

    Pros

Team is pretty nice, a bunch of helpful and skilled people. I'm working on one of the core services and some microservices and I must say the system is pretty good despite the impression it makes when you first see it. Environment is pretty friendly and there are lots of interesting company events throughout the year.

    Cons

Company grew too fast in the last few years and management structure has been constructed out of former developers who don't have as much management skill as they should. Some services suffer from bad architecture design and team spends some unnecessary time maintaining them, though it is slowly getting fixed.
