I have been working at Allen & Overy full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

A lot to learn and possibility to grow within the team. And a big plus: everything is taken care of, from a very good lunch and barista to print department. If you want to deliver 5 star service and work with ambitious people, this is where you want to be.

    Cons

I don't really have anything to complain about..

Thank you for the five stars! It means so much coming from someone with 8-10 years experience with us. We pride ourselves in giving our people the opportunity to grow and learn, and happy to hear your experience with this first hand.

    Pros

A lot of effort goes into making a positive environment for staff. Many opportunities for socialising, charity work and expanding legal knowledge.

    Cons

Not enough direction given on management and who to report to for different issues.

I have been working at Allen & Overy full-time

    Pros

A great company to work for with a decent salary and lots of perks and benefits. A friendly and relaxed office environment with room for career progression. Provides a great opportunity to get experience working across a number of practice groups and projects.

    Cons

The actual work is very boring and monotonous and doesn't require a great amount of skill. Work is very sporadic and hard to predict.

I worked at Allen & Overy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great on site facilities like gym, doctor, nice canteen. Pay is also decent.

    Cons

Too much concern from Management over irrelevant things like staff coming back 3 minutes late from lunch when you've got awful conduct and bullying going on, on the front desk. Management seem incapable and more often than not, need guidance from those working beneath them on how to do their jobs. Self serving attitude among many. Management don't like it when you express an opinion even though they encourage us to speak up in the montly team meetings (What?!)
