    Pros

High tech company utilizing great people to work with.

    Cons

They'll string you along for years and not offer you a permanent position or reward achievements. They offer referal bonuses and don't pay out. Poor training. Poor communication and leaving people in the lurch so to speak. I was trained to be part of a team with very little formal or organized training and then left on my own without a replacement. Work load doubled, programs and responsibilities were added but there was no compensation.

    Advice to Management

Connect personally with the people under you. Treat the people at the bottom as if they matter, not just the ones at the top.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Large corporate environment with exposure to most current technology trends, hardware and software

    Cons

sourcing to two Allstate owned tech companies in Ireland and India; continuous waves of layoffs; large reduction in corporate supported education for certifications and ongoing technology related training. Heavy work load, minimal recognition and appreciation to incent longer hours.

    Advice to Management

reconsider that the front line employees and leaders are the people who ultimately get the work done and carry out the vision and mission. they earn you your big bonuses with very little incentive other than the reminder that they still have a job and can be replaced.
