Cons
Micro Management is engrained into the system, its stifling and suffocating. Senior management doesn't seem to see it. Just because someone has been in the business for a long period of time, doesn't mean they're a good manager. People leave businesses because of poor managers, not poor businesses, this is absolutely the case at Amscan. They should look at attrition rates within specific teams and touch base with the team members on how they're feeling.

With a history of mergers & acquisitions, its a complex business to be part of, so everyday business can feel a little overwhelming with the number of different processes and people to engage with!

Very demanding but excellent on the job experience. Employees are offered continued opportunities for growth. Flexible working.

The environment is extremely intense. Keeping up and not burning out requires quite some stamina and personal self-awareness.

Current management team actually take time to communicate and let people know what is going on. Very approachable as well. Investment in warehouse which would never have happened before.New flexible working a big step on. Nice to be trusted.

Leadership and direction, authentic leadership, culture of honesty and openness, listen to people, and opportunity to develop for those with the desire to do so. Amscan has become a great place to be, people generally friendly and colleagues supportive of one another.
