I worked at Anglian Home Improvements part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I met some fantastic people whom I have made good friends with.
Very good hourly rate of pay.
    Good work/life balance
Being made redundant from my role in Customer Service did me a HUGE favour. Thank you Anglian 😊👍

    Cons

One or two of the managers are grumpy.
If your face fits and even if you're a wally brain, you'll go far at Anglian. Managers have minions or "yes" persons making their drinks and waiting on them hand and foot. Idiots. Grow a spine and gain some self-respect.

Poor customers. Customer Service in Norwich no longer exists. Customers who phone in are directed to their local installation depot for after sales service issues.
Some administrators there are grumpy, sarcastic and downright rude. Some are really lovely and deserve better treatment than they get. But that's Anglian.
The customer will be lucky just to get their phone call answered let alone deal with a grumpy person.
Good luck to the customers as I feel so sorry for them. Anyone with sense won't choose Anglian.
I would have given only one star but the hours fitted in perfectly with my home life and I have made some good friends so that deserves a star ⭐️

    Advice to Management

You don't care about customers after they've paid a LOT of money for Anglian products etc. Put more money time and staff into after sales customer service.
More service engineers are needed. In some regions only one or two cover the whole of an area. Means longer wait for service visit for customers. Field managers and service engineers work hard and long hours and there needs to be more staff tto deal with after sales issues in a reasonable timeframe. This area needs investment. Think customer and put them first as without them there will be no company and therefore no jobs.

    Pros

I came across a few lovely genuine people. Other than that, this is an appealing place to be, do not get trapped here.

    Cons

Bully managers, next to no pay, most people are unhappy to be there. Promised progression and was made redundant after working really hard. Workload was always too much. Few managers hide behind administraters (16k). One manager recieved multiple complaints against him from different people but he is still there?!

    Advice to Management

Increase pay then maybe people won't mind you being up their backside all day everyday

    Pros

Good solid workforce. Lots of improvements in progress. Development and progresson for the right calibre and attitude. Unique product to be proud of.

    Cons

Morale and motivation lost on shop floor but signs are there for improvement. Canteen conditions not good but plans for better in pipeline.

    Advice to Management

Improve facilities for eating, drinking and hygiene. Put people towards top of list of improvements alongside productivity projects not after.

    Pros

We make the best window out there and its given me a great standard of living and possible promotion opportunities

    Cons

The shop floor staff aren't appreciated as much as they should be and should be more involved in improvements that are being made

    Advice to Management

Involve everyone with all the pro's and cons of the business and get everyone onside and working together. Together we are one and together we work better
