I worked at Anglian Home Improvements full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Not many....free mars bar at the annual conference?

    Cons

Although I was the branches top salesman, my pay did not reflect this. As someone who is completely new to sales, I received no support from upper management, only from other willing reps. The job is commission only and the commission structure is set up in a way that it is very difficult to make money. As an example, I have sold many £10k plus deals and made £25 in commission. When I did finally leave the company I never received my final pay. at least 6 days a week.

    Advice to Management

Show some interest in your workers

    Pros

Lots of great people. Reasonable salary with no bonus so you get paid the same even if you don’t do very well. Staff parties and nights out. Overall good company to work for.

    Cons

Not much training on how to do the job well, so I haven’t really improved much. Can be very quiet and boring at times. No bonus when you do well which is strange for sales job.

    Advice to Management

More training on how to book leads and bonus.

    Pros

commission paid so you can literally write your own pay cheque.
    good support and sales aids.
higher commission for self generated sales.
    great for growing your pension.
good prospects for promotion and even more money.
    excellent training.
    good incentives to succeed .
to some extent your own boss.
holiday as and when you like.
    very rewarding.
fantastic products and warranty and been around a long time .

    Cons

    self employed.
    work long hours
need your own accountant for tax returns
not conducive to a family life
be prepared to take the good with the bad.

    Advice to Management

take some of the pressure off your reps for sales. relaxed reps come across more confident and not desperate and are more likely to put customers at ease and get more sales from them.

I worked at Anglian Home Improvements full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I initially worked there as a part time student and it's not a good company. The guy there gave us an induction stating that the salary is £30 an hour + commission. Found that the guy was an utter liar and deliberately said that to incise us into working for their below average company.

The training wasn't good either- very rushed and then assumed that we knew everything from then.

The whole management was extremely clumsy but what annoyed me was the fact that I got lied to about the salary. Please avoid. I will give then -1 stars if I could.

    Cons

Nothing. Run run run as fast as you can from this company!

    Advice to Management

Actually stick to your words instead of lying

Choose your own Car, laptop, phone as your on selfemployed basis.

Long unsocialable hours, far too many poor and recycled leads,
ASL can have a big effect on your success.
Have to pay for own Laptop, phone, car, after all, you are selfemployed
They can end agent agreement at anytime and you lose all finacail benefits held back as retainer.

    Advice to Management

No point in suggestion here, as all they they care about is the turnover at any cost.
