Hi, Lynne here. Thanks for your review. I’m sorry that your experience working in the branch wasn’t more positive. Firstly, I’m glad to hear that you liked the training facilities and got a good start. As for your comments about career progression, our apprenticeship scheme is one of the biggest in Scotland, with a high rate of employment – 91% of our apprentices go on to work full time for Arnold Clark. Many of our senior managers started out as apprentices, so career progression really is there for the taking. I wish you the best of luck in your future career and hope you find the right fit elsewhere. Lynne McBurney Arnold Clark Group Head of People

Hi, Lynne here. Thanks for your review of your time at Arnold Clark. In your pros, you mention discounts on vehicles and services; we offer all our employees a fantastic benefits package which includes preferential rates on new and used cars, plus generous retail discounts. You also mention overtim e as both a pro and a con. At busy times, overtime might be necessary to get the job done, but your line manager should have discussed this with you first – if this wasn’t the case, the People Team would have looked into the situation while you were in our employment. I wish you every success in your new career and thanks again for leaving a review. Lynne McBurney Arnold Clark Group Head of People

Hi, Lynne here. Thanks for your review and I’m sorry working for us is a mixed experience for you at the moment. I will say that we ask for commitment and hard work from our product consultants, but we also offer plenty of rewards, like training, progression and a generous commission structure. Although sales roles mean longer hours, all our product consultants work a five-day week to help with work-life balance, unless otherwise agreed with their manager. If this isn’t the case with you and you’re struggling, please know that you can talk to the People Team in confidence about any issues you might be having. I hope that you can get a better balance soon. Lynne McBurney Arnold Clark Group Head of People
