WORST PLACE TO WORK

Pros

There is a variety of food around the area.

Cons

Management usually targets fresh graduates because they are unaware of salary benchmarks, allowing the company to offer very low salaries. Managers may sound friendly, but they are actually very toxic. You’re expected to join them in everything they do, even if it means neglecting your work. You must support everything they say or do. There is a sense of racial tension, and you can feel the chaos between different racial groups. Micromanagement is extreme. You’re required to report the number of calls you make and the number of resumes you send to clients each day.

Thank you for your feedback. We want to assure you that we take all comments regarding our management practices and workplace culture seriously. We acknowledge your concerns and understand that your experience may not have aligned with our intended values and goals. At Asia Recruit, we are continuously working to enhance our workplace environment so that every team member feels motivated, respected, and empowered. We’d like to offer some clarification and context regarding the points raised: Compensation and Hiring Practices Asia Recruit adheres to Malaysia’s standard salary benchmarks and offers competitive compensation packages that include both a basic salary and sales commissions. We hire individuals across various experience levels—not only fresh graduates—and ensure fair and transparent remuneration for all employees. Company Activities Participation in office events and celebrations—such as Hari Raya, Christmas, Deepavali, Hari Merdeka, and others—is entirely voluntary. These initiatives are organized to promote inclusiveness and a stronger sense of community within the team. Diversity and Inclusion We are proud to be a multiracial and multicultural organization, with team members from Malay, Chinese, Indian, Sabah, Sarawak, Filipino, and Japanese backgrounds. Asia Recruit has a firm anti-discrimination policy that fosters an environment where everyone is valued and treated equitably. Performance Reporting We do not engage in micromanagement. Employees are simply required to report key performance indicators, such as the number of calls made and resumes sent—standard procedures used across the industry to maintain accountability and support operational efficiency. We appreciate your insights, as they help us reflect and continue improving. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please reach out directly to us at hello@asiarecruit.com.my or to our Managing Director Damien at damien@asiarecruit.com.my. Warm regards, Asia Recruit Management Team
