Warning: Considerable Concerns about Working at ABL

Pros

This is a mandatory field....I have nothing to add.

Cons

I feel compelled to share my experience working at ABL to help potential candidates make informed decisions about joining the company. Misleading Remote Work Promise: When I accepted the position, I was assured that I would be working remotely until the opening of the Southern New Jersey office. However, almost immediately and with little notice, I was required to commute into Philadelphia. The meager $10 stipend provided for this abrupt change hardly covers the inconvenience and added expenses. Unfulfilled Bonus Commitment: As part of my salary package, I was guaranteed a 10%-20% annual bonus, which I have yet to receive. Despite numerous attempts to address this with HR, my concerns were allegedly escalated, yet I never received any resolution or clarification on the matter. Inflexible Working Hours: The company's expectation that employees work until at least 6 pm, with no flexibility, is a significant drawback. This is not an industry or professional standard. There is an implicit pressure to work a minimum of 10 hours a day without any increase in salary or the promised bonus. This lack of work-life balance is detrimental to personal well-being. Gender Disparity and Bro-Centric Culture: A glaring issue within the organization is the lack of women in leadership positions. The culture appears to be heavily bro-centric, which may be alienating for individuals who value diversity and inclusion. This lack of representation raises concerns about equal opportunities for career growth and advancement. Communication Breakdowns with HR: A recurring issue I faced was the lack of follow-up and communication from HR regarding the concerns I raised. Despite being told that my issues were escalated, I never received any feedback or resolution, leaving me feeling unsupported and undervalued as an employee. I strongly advise individuals seeking employment to carefully consider these drawbacks before deciding to work at ABL. The lack of transparency, unfulfilled promises, and a potentially exclusionary culture make it difficult for me to recommend this company to others.

Pros

I am fortunate enough to say that I would not still be here if it weren’t for the few colleagues I work with on a daily basis. When I say few, I’m referring to the 2 other employees in operations as our supervisor is an absentee manager

Cons

Long hours, I’ve been working 12-14 hour days ever since starting, the work itself is not hard, the disorganization and dysfunctional environment makes the work hard. Absentee EVP of operations who loves to micromanage despite not being present. Senior level management does not practice what they preach, they do not value a work-life-balance, nothing that was conveyed to me during the interview process is true.

Pros

From day one, I've been impressed by the company's commitment to fostering a culture where employees feel valued, listened to, and supported. One of the standout aspects of ABL is the genuine emphasis placed on employee well-being. From regular check-ins with managers to open-door policies that encourage transparent communication, I've always felt that my voice is heard and my contributions are appreciated. This sense of value has had a significant impact on my job satisfaction and motivation. ABL cultivates a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes collaboration and mutual respect among team members. The company culture is characterized by a strong sense of camaraderie and shared purpose, making it a pleasure to come to work each day. In addition to the excellent work culture, ABL offers ample opportunities for professional growth and development. Whether through mentorship programs, or internal promotion pathways, employees are empowered to expand their skill sets and advance their careers within the organization.

Cons

It's an extremely fast paced environment because the company is growing rapidly. This naturally lends itself to be susceptible to growing pains.
