I have been working at AstraZeneca full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Salary and bonus (paid each April) office facilities IT

    Cons

No car parking for buildings in the south Bullying management allowed/not discouraged HR invisible Overworked and high expectation you will work far in excess of your contracted 36.5 hours (normal is 48-55) No longer provided pension matched contributions

    Advice to Management

Remove bullying managers from positions. Take more notice of staff leaving through burn out or taking extended sick leave for stress. More importantly, provide honest work contracts - nobody works their 36.5 and management consider it underachieving if you try to push back on the hours. Protect staff.

I have been working at AstraZeneca full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Very delivery oriented which is good.

    Cons

Double IT delivery for half cost, the strain and pressure is unbelievable. Unforgiving leaders. Makes life miserable, impacts sleep, impacts family. Unrelenting. 60-80 hour works are punishing.

    Advice to Management

The current pace of delivery is unsustainable, what will break is the people trying to deliver.

I worked at AstraZeneca for more than 10 years

    Pros

Remuneration, compensation and Benefits package competitive. All working environments were good for delivery and the quality of technical staff was good.

    Cons

Constant strategy changes made operational activities difficult and the hierarchical structure in parts of the organization made decision making slow.

    Advice to Management

Change in culture to speed up decision making and change. Allow the high quality staff the space and autonomy to deliver change.
