I have been working at AstraZeneca full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great culture. High quality employees. Respect in the workplace. Interesting and innovative work. An amazing business outlook and extremely strong pipeline. Strong values.

    Cons

The work is fast paced, demands some risk taking and a creative mindset. Standards are high, yet so are the benefits and opportunity for growth.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing by living your values, fostering an innovative and inclusive culture and making the workplace a fun place to be.

    Pros

People are wonderful and egos are really checked at the door most of the days to get things done.

    Cons

Not much of a future for the company in the next 5-7 years. All downside with CEO David Brennen being forced out in the next few months. If he wants to or not, he's out. This will change culture, direction, and the exit of talent.

    Advice to Management

After years on the current strategy that clearly is not working, isn't time to admit it's not working, change and move forward. Global priories message was too funny, #1 sell drug. LOL. Too late. Its probably a violation of some code of conduct.

    Pros

Great people, challenging environment and changing industry.
Management recognizes that the business is changing and we need to adapt. The culture is open and inviting.

    Cons

    Industry is in a downturn.
There are very few job growth opportunities on the horizon.
The competencies of management are not always transparent.

    Advice to Management

The company needs to change its valuation of how drugs are innovated. We need to stop going after the big blockbusters. We need to develop a deeper pipeline.
