There's a lot that happens behind closed doors that would be important to share with the core supporting team, but never really was. The founder of Atomic locks himself away in his office and seems very secretive.
Ego runs rampid in this office and it is very male-dominated. Diversity of thought, gender, sexual orientation and skin-tone are lacking. A large number of founders and founders in residence (FIR's), etc all have similar backgrounds, ie: worked at Uber, went to Wharton, etc.
The Atomic team itself was vastly understaffed, overworked and underappreciated, with founders of the portfolio companies demanding more work from us than we could humanly provide, leaving us out of important conversations, and often disregaring or throwing members of our team under the bus just to save themselves.
