Nice central office location with good facilities. Friendly coworkers.

Cons

Holiday allowance and sick pay are both seriously lacking. 6 month waiting period before typists can go up a pay grade. Overtime not optional. Ongoing technical issues with foot pedals etc are not prioritised but work expected to continue at same pace regardless Long hours but only 30 mins for lunch Times given for typing arenot accurate

Central location, two parties a year, interesting work Atmosphere in the Birmingham office was second to none

Line manager told member of staff if she was feeling stressed "maybe consider if this is the job for you" rather than trying to find a supportive solution. I left before but everyone in the office was culled in a mass redundancy over video chat at the start of the UK lockdown with no furlough. Brutal. Hours were often unsociable and no time off in lieu or overtime for transcript delivery staff, even though basic work week was already 42 hours, which is longer than most places. Lunch only 30 minutes. Transcribers expected to reach high productivity levels with constant unresolved IT issues.
