Pros

This used to be a fantastic place to work. Unfortunately, the constant threat of redundancies, applying for your own job and lack of power in a negotiation have overshadowed this

Cons

As above - redundancies, applying for ever diminishing roles, senior management seeking their own political gains.

Pros

Great colleagues, was a amazing place to work years ago.Policys and procedures in place.

Cons

Ausgrid has now become a dog eat dog amongst staff, everyone fighting for their own jobs,at the expense of customers, asps and everyone's safety.Everyone trying to justify their own jobs and morale amongst staff has gone downhill over the past few years, your either stabbing people in the back or your out.The few good guys and girls that are left are slowly becoming bitter and twisted.

Pros

Great pay and conditions. The work is very interesting. Flexible work hours.

Cons

Lack of job security. There has been continuous restructuring and uncertainty for the last 5 years, and that will continue for 5 more years. The austerity is costly and counter-productive. You want to buy a box of tissues? You'll need approval from the Chief Engineer.
