    Former Employee - Agent

I worked at Auto Club of Southern California full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They have a great initial training program. You get swooped off to Orange County for that. Its fun and informative

    Cons

The real job. Lots of package info, details, domestic & global knowledge expected to be learned from never-ending training that's hardly ever utilized. Customers only care about the cost and deals anyways and AAA's is not really better for anyone that can use a computer search tool. Time is micromanaged horribly + no backing on customer issues = annoyed employees . Commissions don't really happen so pay is... low

I worked at Auto Club of Southern California full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Culture, Stability, Benefits, Vacation, Discounts

    Cons

    Systems; Management; Not much else

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees (HR especially) when Management displays favoritism, targets individuals, and is retaliatory - it can bring down a department in a hurry, with long lasting effects. A Gallup poll of more 1 million employed U.S. workers concluded that the No. 1 reason people quit their jobs is a bad boss or immediate supervisor. The company itself is a wonderful company, and has a culture that is second to... none otherwise.
