I have been working at Auto Club of Southern California full-time for more than a year

        Pros

Ability to work from home. Huge deal for me. Stability. Seriously, have you ever heard of or read about AAA laying people off? Benefits..are ok. Pay could be better. So could insurance, which is kind of pricey and doesn't cover much. Free membership! That's something I guess.

        Cons

Where do I start? Members: You wanna deal with dumb entitled people all day? Then this is the place for you! Members are highly, HIGHLY, ignorant, entitled babies and AAA treats them as such. A member could be cussing you out and you still have to be polite and get them over to a supervisor. You will encounter people that don't know what kind of car they drive (how do you know how anything about the second biggest...

I worked at Auto Club of Southern California full-time for more than a year

        Pros

Chance to work with some really great people and amazing opportunities for career growth and advancement. Never worked at a company that had it's own legitimate university and great benefit that could have long term impact with one's career. The company is experiencing a digital and cultural transformation and could be an amazing career opportunity for someone in the right role.

        Cons

Very old...the company is drastically behind in regards to its technology utilization and processes. It's a 120 year old organization, but there's a lot of things that could easily be automated. Unfortunately, a lot of these moves are consistently shot down because of politics and or resistance to change...Sometimes to the point of creating toxic environments.

        Advice to Management

Let the company evolve...the economic and business world has drastically changed (and for the better) and moves at an accelerated pace that AAA just can't compete with. Taking risks is part of doing business.

I have been working at Auto Club of Southern California full-time for more than 3 years

        Pros

Comfortable job. Offers great benefits. Treats its employees with respect. Appropriate amount of sick days/vacation are given. Senior management has been making more of an effort to be involved and listen to employees which is appreciated.

        Cons

Innovation is lacking. The company isn't willing to take any risks even though other companies have been doing certain things for years. The majority of the workforce is older and lack passion about their jobs. My co-workers are definitely not afraid to tell THEIR MANAGERS they're just doing the minimum so they can prolong their job until they retire. While the benefits are great, the direct compensation needed in order...

        Advice to Management

The environment needs to be more competitive in non-commission positions. It's exhausting working with people that don't care. Managers should know answers to questions when it comes to pay and benefits.
