I worked at Autoliv full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is nothing that is positive about this company.

    Cons

One of the worst places to work if you are in the management. Leadership in canada are a bunch of unqualified people who run the show. Lot of quality issues due to bad supply base. You have to nod your head to whatever the leadership thinks. If you bring in a new idea or challenge the efficiency you will be branded as an outlaw and subsequently be thrown out. Middle level managers are un-groomed and a bunch of uneducated people, who run the production floor like managing cattle herds. Worst place I had ever seen in my life!

    Advice to Management

I worked at Autoliv full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good health benefits. Average of 12 paid holidays.. PTO. 401k match. Purchased vacation option.

    Cons

Low base pay versus market competition.
Upper management not committed to ensuring goals and objectives are effectively cascaded.
Management by objective versus leadership by strategy.
    Poor work life balance.
    Kettering graduates given seniority.
    HR very cold and disconnected.
Gainshare metrics contain metrics that are out of the circle of influence of the individual employee.
    Departments are siloed.
Promotions and merits based on nepotism versus results.

    Advice to Management

Let people pursue their passions and empower them to do so! Gut the authoritative management focused objectives at the expense of their employees.

I worked at Autoliv full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very good benefits, solid development opportunities.

    Cons

Absolutely no work-life balance unless you are in a corporate position. Very dissappointing to see executive-level employees portraying the most unethical behaviors with regards to treating people fairly and with respect. Not a very friendly environment for women.

    Advice to Management

Some functions are overworked due to manual processing (kanban cards for managing production orders, manual processing for production planning, some departmental KPIs, project management, etc).
