    Pros

Good benefits and pension. Nice building free parking. Good people. Big multinational company.

    Cons

Big salary bands mean once you're in, going up the band takes a while. Also expenses process and system is a pain.

    Advice to Management

Change expenses process. Be realistic about cost cutting.

    Pros

Salary was good considering I started with 0 IT experience.

    Cons

Lots of pressure to do overtime
Some of management were fine but others were condescending and had no tact.
    Very high staff turnover
If you weren't in one of the cliques you were essentially forgotten about.

    Advice to Management

    Be nicer to people

    Pros

    Relaxed working environment
    Fairly flexible working hours

    Cons

They are not very keen to let employees work from home, not to mention that their systems are not particularly well set up for this purpose either.

I worked at Aviva as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Personal responsibility - they give you responsibility and the space and time to deliver against those responsibilities.
People and culture - work life balance is important - people will work long hours to deliver to schedule but it is also considered important to have time with your families and friends.

    Cons

Group centre changes it's program structures a little too often the senior management changes lead to line changes and this does lead to project and program challenges.

    Pros

    Very supporting of family/work balance
    Friendly culture
    Nice environment
    Good benefits package
Modern IT when it comes to front line operations

    Cons

The business went through a lot of restructuring and has fired a lot of people. This is causing a lot of resentment around the business. Investment/change budget is slashed dramatically so it feels like nothing is moving, but the business is slowly springing back to life!

    Advice to Management

Manage transformation better and be clear/open about the future growth strategy
