    I worked at Baker Tilly International full-time

    Pros

    Friendly working environment.
    Continuous technical updates and training are provided.
    Soft skill training will be provided for selected staffs.
    Opportunity to involve in audit on diversified industries, suitable for keen learner, fast pace of learning environment.

    Cons

    No benefit in kind other than basic medical claim (max. RM500 p.a.).
    Long working hours and ad hoc work on public holidays during peak period without OT claim nor meal allowance.
    (Peak period will be continuous for at least 6 months and above, however is depends on the engagement your are involved)
    Leaves are freeze from Jan-Jun, however is negotiable with managers if it is necessary.

    Advice to Management

    Revise the remuneration package( inclusive of benefit in kind) for entry level employees.

    Pros

    Liberal leave and nice people.

    Cons

    Pay is terrible. I took a $2.00 an hour pay cut to work day shift and I only got a .30 cent an hour raise. It will take me 6 years to get to that salary again.

    Advice to Management

    My pay should be over 30,000 a year , get with the program Baker Tilly. I should be making at the least 28,000 a year!

    Pros

    Good culture that focuses on Talent Development (Especially development of future leaders for the Firm) and management that strives to provide work life balance as best as possible in a normal hectic Audit life. They have a family oriented approach that makes employees feel close to each other.

    Long working hours due to the nature of the industry, no OT & limited benefits provided.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the positive culture to improve the firm and develop our leaders but need to further enhance on our benefits to keep abreast with competitors.
