    I worked at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Personal purchase deliveries allowed;
    Pleasant security, cleaners, catering staff.

    Cons

    As a contractor you are easily disposable with minimal notice;
    High staff turn over;
    Antiquated systems/technology and procedures;
    Filthy Newgate office with awful and insufficient facilities;
    Non diverse - team I was in had no men and no wheel chair access to the floor workspace which means they could never offer a job based there to someone who is a wheelchair user or has other mobility challenges.

    Advice to Management

    Meh!

    I have been working at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

    Great global team with which to be a part of, ever changing challenging environment, location strategy a big bonus if you’re not looking to move to London with bulk of the work moving up from London.

    Cons

    Offshoring of production has left some junior roles very mundane, some uncertainty and lack of direction following Middle Office / Finance merger in 2017. Downside to location strategy is weak talent pipeline outside of London.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to invest in staff and top talent and bring value value adding work to Chester from London. However define roles post MO/Finance merger.

    I worked at Bank of America full-time

    Pros

    Decent salaries although pension benefits have been decimated in recent years.

    Advice to Management

    Manage downwards as well as up

    I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Flexible working, emergency childcare, good benefits package, onsite gym, central location, working with smart people. Opportunity to learn a lot of different types of tech.

    Cons

    As a developer be careful not to get stuck on a heavily proprietary project like quartz otherwise you may find yourself becoming de skilled. Sometimes the red tape can be frustrating. Quality of offshore colleagues varies immensely from excellent to mediocre. In my experience you are not rewarded for staying in your role at this firm and the longer you stay, the more underpaid you will be. Aim to make a move after 3 years tops.

    Advice to Management

    Look after staff who have decided to dedicate a number of years to the company. Make sure they are adequately compensated.
