I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Growth opportunities can happen if you play favorites.

    Cons

Don't get a lot of support from upper management

    Advice to Management

Make more of an effort to keep the employees that are of better value. So much money and training are unfortunate to waste.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My experience has largely been on the technology side - it is indeed an organisation which is too big to fail and I guess since the volume of people involved in the organisation is so high, it is likely to come across and work with enough talented people around you.

    Cons

The bank is very true to its name - it is indeed a organisation which is too much driven from America inspite of the fact that there is a general acknowledgement that it would work better if control is spread out to other regions too (EMEA and APAC). This is particularly a problem specific to the technology side.

    Advice to Management

Too many talents are underutilised and less recognised of their true potential in the technology side.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great management with focus on high standards but retaining a nice culture and fairly decent work life balance creating a pleasant atmosphere. Unlike in many other banks there is no toxic environment.

    Cons

Many administrative tasks, outsource them to a back office (as is the case in other banks).

    Advice to Management

Outsource some of the administrative tasks.

Can be bureaucratic at times but perhaps that is just the nature of working at a big organisation which has global reach

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Can’t really think of any

    Cons

    Lack of career progression
Company does not care if you’re deskilled in the process of working there
Offices old and cramped and lack facilities
No real culture of appreciation- company pushes a superficial culture of ‘appreciation’ with cheap tricks like e badges and e cards with no value.
No desire to keep good employees, middle managers focused on covering their own backsides.

    Advice to Management

Ditch quartz as soon as you can
