Pros
I worked with some very good people and some very smart people at Barclays. The goals of becoming technologically strong, at the time, were good goals.
Cons
Management changes too often and the ideas behind how to become a good and right institution change with it. During my time of going from different roles and coming back to Barclays over 4 years I heard 3 different 5 year plans.

Pros
Salary. They paid me a ton of money to recruit me to work there.
Cons
Culture. The worst political infighting I've ever experienced in my 18 years career on Wall Street. It is also the most bureaucratic firm I've encountered.
