I worked at Bayer full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Although a big international company, working for the UK division had a real family feel about it. Communication and involvement came from the highest level. I started my career with this company and returned to them 27 years later and felt as if I had never left.

    Cons

A little bi of a Germanic mentality but you soon get use to it.

I worked at Bayer full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great stepping stone into the industry

    Cons

Cronyism and nepotism is as equal a problem as the male dominated departments the higher up the company you go. Towards the end of my role I found out the female colleagues with at least 5 year experience were paid just 3k more than male graduate with no previous experience whereas males with 5 years of experience obtained the highest end of the pay band making it a 12k difference in comparison to their female colleagues. When I pointed this out nothing was done. Management is really incompetent in medical information. No point trying to apply for roles above you unless you are friends with the hiring manager, but thankfully those idiots have left already. Hope this place changes in terms of equal opportunities. Also the pay is a lot lower than other companies

I worked at Bayer full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lovely work colleagues. Good Salary for a basic admin role. Lovely spacious office overlooking the lakes of the science park. Chance to move roles perhaps. Flexible working between 10-4pm which is FAB for most roles. Work from home once a month and flexi leave too.

    Cons

Very little getting out of the office. Office is very manual, and IT systems seem out of date with the market. Flexi leave was being reduced. Not much cross team working.
