I have been working at Baywater Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Caring towards staff and do listen if you ask to speak to a member of management. Money is good and potential to earn more if overtime is available. Rota's are done a year in advance so you know exactly what you are doing . The rota team if they can will always do there best to help out if you need a day off . I personally can not thank this company enough for 1 believing in me and 2 helping me out personally for private reasons .

    Cons

At times work loads can be on a high stress level wise .However saying that some pressure is also good for you.

I have been working at Baywater Healthcare full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Lovely company to work for with a friendly and caring atmosphere. The work is rewarding as it helps some of the most vulnerable in society. The measures that have been taken during the pandemic make me feel safe, with most office staff working from home and a big emphasis on hygiene and social distancing.

    Cons

There can sometimes be stress and long hours for field staff, but ultimately its worth it.

    Pros

Generally a good company, like helping patients if given the time.

    Cons

Tend to dish health and safety out left right and center , when it suits.

I have been working at Baywater Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I read some of the reviews and wonder what some people expect when they come to work for a service industry whose primary role is the treatment and safety of vulnerable and unwell patients. Responding to emergency patient calls are part of the companies contractual obligations and can never be planned for, but each call, despite what it seems to some, is carefully assessed to a) respond in the correct time scale and b) to get the responding Technician home as soon as possible if the call creates overtime or is a call out. The figures supplied by the workforce themselves show how small the % of those on the front line not finishing on time actually is and, the reason for any Technician not finishing on time has to be justified by middle management to the Exec team on the next days ops call. I have worked for large corporates, retail supplies, private industry, 30 years in the public sector, where compulsory short notice overtime and cancelled rest days were the norm, a global outsourcing company and now Baywater. I have seen all levels of individual management from diabolical, deceitful, mediocre, good, and excellent. Trust me when I say, never before have I seen an exec team that care about the welfare of its customers and workforce than at Baywater. Don’t get me wrong, they are no push over but, do your job as best you can and they WILL look after you. There are good and bad decisions made in all companies both private and public and at all management levels, empires get created, good apples, bad apples etc etc, ask yourself this, how many organisations give you the opportunity to challenge anything direct to the CEO or COO at any time and get an honest answer? How many CEOs put themselves forward every week live on video where everyone can see questions being asked online as they come in on screen. Every question gets an answer! How many CEOs and COOs put themselves at the front line regularly to face anything from the floor? This is a company that lives up to its stated values and yes, the grass is greener here if you want to be part of the team . There are some very caring people here. 😊 I sincerely hope to see my time out with this company!!

    Cons

All companies have cons many of which are personal to the individual but, nothing here that you don't have the opportunity to talk through without any fears of repercussions

I have been working at Baywater Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay but minimum wage is catching up

    Cons

We deliver and install oxygen equipment, which is important right? With a lot of responsibility? But we also have to deal with extra emergency jobs added to our day, lack of equipment, dangerous vans, poor route planning, poor training, poor management, finish times are pushed consistently on every shift so keep away if you value your family and home life. Also if things go wrong, you will be on the chopping block not the rubbish management, pretend rtm's, not the schedulers, not the trainers..you!

I worked at Baywater Healthcare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Annual pay increase that’s pretty much it

    Cons

Abysmal scheduling backed up by an arrogant “we know best” operations centre. Senior management refer to NHS patients as customers!! Says it all 4 hour jobs that can only be described as debatable. Constantly scheduled 1+ hours over your working day + the daily 2 or 3 four hour emergency Jobs Equipment not supplied due to poor stock retention and you as the Tech have to phone and tell the patient their NHS prescribed oxygen is not available at that time. Good luck getting hold of the RTM if needed. I found this company to be extremely unsupportive towards family commitments even though this meant finishing on your agreed contractual hours only occasionally.

"Worst inept supplier of oxygen in the uk"

    1.0
    Current Employee - Technician

I have been working at Baywater Healthcare full-time

    Pros

    I can’t think of any.. it’s a job

    Cons

Customer service full of kids running the show or shall we say trying to. All brains and power taken from technicians and put in the hands of idiotic undertrained and clueless schedulers who have been here for a few months dictating to engineers who have been here for years. Rtms regional management who back people in the office all the way, and don’t do nothing for there team that cover there area!! Absolute gutless rtms and a woeful management that are so clueless it beggars belief. Loads of loyal good staff have left and the ceo of this company knows why. No sick pay.. disgusting!! Weekends classed as normal day. Disgusting!! Working until 7pm.. disgusting!! Family life balance .. disgusting!! Certainly not leading the way as not one oxygen company has done what this company is doing!! I speak to people I know that work for oxygen suppliers else where in the uk and they laugh at what we do . That’s about sums it up..

    Baywater Healthcare Response

    December 21, 2020CEO

Thanks for your feedback, we do take your comments on board. Many of your comments are somewhat inaccurate. - We pay 75% of salary as sick pay for up to 2 years - Weekend working when it is in a shift pattern is part of a 40 hour working week, hence plenty of time off on other days - Working until 7pm again is part of a 40 hour week and supports very poorly people being discharged from hospital. Healthcare is a 24 hour a day requirement Your comments about fellow employees lack respect and are inaccurate. During the pandemic this team have worked tirelessly and intelligently to keep patients safe and supported. You should recognise that and feel proud for being a part of it. However, your voice is important and we want you to feel that you can speak openly. Feel free to talk us

I have been working at Baywater Healthcare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Helping people as part of the NHS team, teamwork and banter with colleagues, good appraisals, clear and safe systems, more days off, manager listens, lots of internal promotions

    Cons

Some people moan, but it probably just isn't the job for them, shouldn't sign up for working pattern if they don't like it as this is a good company
