Great opportunities for a new grad to get a seasoned mentor. Flexible time, only need to attend meetings the rest of the hours are mostly flexible. Work is well defined. This will depend on the customer however.

I have been working at Belcan full-time

    Pros

For corporate, I guess you could say new training's over the past year or so has been good but otherwise, pros are on an office by office basis because each is different. Luckily, our office is family oriented, flexible, and we all care about one another. Benefits are decent but could be better.

    Cons

Corporate doesn't listen or care what employees think. No base raises in years to base salaries that are already below average. Commission structure that is not competitive. Benefits could be better. New management all comes from the same company and the changes they are making to Belcan is based on the structure of their former company. No bonuses, no more company wide contests or activities, offices no longer receive end of the year funds to donate to a charity of their choice. It used to be a family owned company and those values are gone.

    Advice to Management

    1. Take some time to actually listen to your employees - not just hear and then go around in a circle with a non-committed answer.
    2. Value your employees and show them they're more than just robots who make you money
    3. Change the benefits to be more competitive and reflective of the time we live in, adapt some flexibility, and pay your employees the wage they deserve and work hard for.

I worked at Belcan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Cool people
    Nice coworkers
    Fun picnics

    Cons

Management is disorganized and they like to pull people out of there current position to work at the help desk. This causes a major disruption to everyone else who has to pick up the slack.

You work a ticketing system and because of management disorganization and pulling people to work at the desk you can end up with like 40 tickets and the only person in the que.

The pay sucks and for the amount of work you are expected to do.

This company has extremely high turnover rate because of all the changes they try to implement that end up hurting the employees

I have been working at Belcan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is plenty of opportunity for those who put in the effort. Managing Director, Jeff Ross is excellent and motivating his staff and driving the Purpose and Principles forward. "People First. Performance Driven. Passion with Purpose."

    Cons

Cons are subjective. Nice location with good people. (FYI: this is about a 10 person team if you prefer working with larger team environments.)

    Advice to Management

Keep the "Learning and Development" aspect of Belcan a priority. "If we don't grow, we stagnate."
