I worked at Bell Canada part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved the people, loved the hours, the job was pretty easy, expectations were not huge.

    Cons

Management is terrible, they will move you to any store even if it is 30 mins away without consent. They don't have any respect for you as a human being or an employee. They don't care about anyone except themselves. They will push you out if it benefits them. They use harsh tactics to push you out i.e., transfer you to another bell store, virgin store or just put you on an aggressive improvement plan that is unattainable.

    Advice to Management

Dont destroy moral. My manager was not even in charge for more than 20 days and he transferred a top performing (top 5% in canada) out of the store to a store that she couldn't even work at because of the distance from home to work to school. We had pictures of our team and little motivational quotes and he ripped them down his first day into the store. Currently has 2 employees still there because they fear for their jobs and the rest are gone. Have some respect for your employees.

I have been working at Bell Canada part-time

    Pros

Decent compensation Many fun people to work with Some discounts offered for being an employee Will work around student schedules which is fantastic

    Cons

Quarterly changes or decreases in commission Cannot give your opinion if you don't agree with anything or you will have a target on you Seen multiple co-workers forced to move to other stores when they don't want to as a tactic to get rid of them Uneducated and unhelpful regional management Large corporate company where customer service is lost between numerous departments Little no to room for growth

    Advice to Management

Compensate your employees better and break down the corporate walls that make this company no fun to work for. Hold regional and store managers accountable for bullying employees out of the job
