I worked at Bell Pottinger full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Fun people (my team was the closest and friendliest in the company) - always did enjoy the breakfast they put out in the morning. - No feeling of hierarchy within my team - from MD to interns in the geopolitical team, we all got on like a house on fire.

    Cons

    - The CEO - cant quite believe someone so utterly horrendous could have lasted so long. I don't think James Henderson even wanted to know his employees names unless he found out you went to Eton. I worked there for two years, and sat right by his office - never did he look of ask for my name. Horrendous. He would strut around the office, barking at people. He was very much what created the overall toxic atmosphere in the company. I don't think I ever heard a good word said about him, even Partners would happily speak badly of him very openly - Public school atmosphere - despite having gone to a public school I think Bell Pottinger needed to diversify. I have never seen a company so white and middle classed. MD and Partners were also fairly interested in the name of your school, which frankly should be irrelevant. It does not create a good atmosphere in a company.
