I worked at Bella Italia (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay as a waiter, and young staff so can make lots of friends.

    Cons

Management aren't very pro-active and the hierarchy don't seem to care about the waiters/barman. Very cliquey.

I worked at Bella Italia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None! Seriously! They are even cheap with the staff meals. Two toppings for a pizza! Joke...

    Cons

Everything. Management has no clue. If you are talented, forget progression and getting respect. The only way to the top is through kissing behind of the manager or being from the same country as the General Manager.

Company has been taken over by foreigners who backstab anyone not from their country and form cliques.

They are always messing with pay. Underpaying here and there. Trying to screw you out of money constantly.

    Advice to Management

Stop letting general managers promote people based on nationality. Stop screwing people out of money. Just stop!

I have been working at Bella Italia part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great restaurant to work in, keep all your own tips, management gets none. Varied training programs available and a real possibility to develop your career. Flexible to fit around your schedule also.
Free team meals when on shift and 50% off all the brands within CDG.. !!!

    Cons

Difficult to get full time positions as contracts work of a '6 month average' and so can be left without hours, especially when they need to save labour, and can get cut at any time. As with all hospitality postitions, hours can be very long, demanding and unsociable. Only minimum wage, but tips can add up.
