Pros

Can’t think of any. Hopefully you have a better experience.

Cons

I received an offer of employment from this company and then enquired what their PTO policy was. It was stated to me that after one year you will accrue 40 hours of PTO time. After 2 years you would then accrue 80 hours and top out at 80 hours. I asked if I, because of the extensive experience I was bringing to the job, I would be able to get any PTO during my first year of employment. They said yes they would let me have 40 hours WITHOUT PAY. After much deliberation I decided, because of monetary reasons to accept their offer. I sent them the signed offer letter thanking them for the offer. They emailed me back and RESCINDED their offer. They definitely proved to me what what I had feared from the beginning.....they do not about their employees. I hope if you accept an offer from them you have a different experience than I did.

Pros

You can quit because you’re in an at-will state.

Cons

Everything. Management here is some of the worst. Incompetence runs through the veins of middle management and is masked by cockiness. They’re all bark and no bite when it comes to business strategy, revenue projections, and ultimately creating a fine tuned business. Any competent professional in their field wouldn’t be able to hold a conversation with management here as their business acumen is...it doesn’t exist. They all wear the suits and can talk about what their “skill” is for about 5 minutes before they run out of things to say and their cover is blown. For that reason, employees have little input in the day to day operations. There’s a fear their cover will be blown. As for the president, he spends his days watching his employees on camera as they work outside, sweat, and pour hard work into the business for a near minimum wage paycheck. He waits for them to take a break so he can reprimand them. And no. Being a “white collar” employee here doesn’t spare you from the objectively creepy spying the he partakes in. Cameras are everywhere except the bathroom because of state laws. You bet they’d be in there if there weren’t. When employees are injured because of the desire to be under budget, they’re automatically blamed for their injuries. If you stub your toe, fall off a shelf in the warehouse, or lose your foot, don’t expect sympathy even at face value from management. They’re running on slim margins and your accident at their fault is going to cost them their yearly bonus. As for your bonus, I hope you enjoy a crisp $50 bill. Don’t count that as part of your take home pay when you join the company. Take everything they promise you during your interview with a grain of salt. Use the time spent to fine tune your resume, get a nice suit, and get out while you can. You can count on lost wages that aren’t worth taking them to court over. If you decide to have a discussion with them about it, expect to be mysteriously fired over performance even if you work hard and notice management is doing diddly squat.
